The publication
Preferences on your device
The site uses local storage for your motion and theme preferences. The proportion calculator runs in your browser and sends nothing you type. Elon, the site’s index, also runs in your browser and sends nothing you type. It keeps your last questions and a visit count in this browser’s local storage, and “forget me” clears them. It is not an account or advertising identifier. Clear your browser’s site storage to reset it.
Share prices
On the home page and the trajectory page your browser asks Robinhood and, if that fails, CoinGecko for Tesla and SpaceX prices, for the banner, for Calculate now and for the simulator’s starting point. Choosing ounces of gold or bitcoin under the number asks CoinGecko for those two prices in the same way, and your choice of currency is remembered in this browser only. These are plain requests with no cookies and no referrer, but each service receives connection information such as your IP address. If your browser asks to save data, it waits until you press Calculate now. Their own privacy policies apply, including CoinGecko’s. The figure works without them.
Market widgets
TradingView quotes load only when you choose Load the quote panel. Loading them connects your browser to TradingView, which receives connection information such as your IP address and may use its own storage. Read TradingView’s privacy policy. The figure works without it.
Web fonts
The typeface, DM Sans, loads from Google Fonts. Your browser connects to Google to fetch it, which shares connection information such as your IP address. Read Google’s privacy policy.
External links and payments
Sharing on X and following links opens an external service. If checkout is enabled, the payment provider collects payment information on its own site. This site does not receive card details.
Hosting
The hosting service processes requests to deliver and secure the site. The site has no visitor analytics of its own. Hosting logs and access controls operate separately.
Before public launch
